National Gun Violence Awareness Day – June 4, 2021

National Gun Violence Awareness Day is dedicated to focus on the many facets of gun violence – from homicide, suicide and preventable deaths. It is important to Be Aware that of the 40,000 deaths due to gun violence 2/3 are a result of suicide or preventable deaths, while most of the attention is paid to the 1/3 of deaths caused by homicide (with just 1% of those the result of mass shootings).
We are honored to have the support of cities in our metro area. Click here to see proclamations from The cities of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Kansas cities of Leawood, Overland Park and Prairie Village.
